Paria River Ranch
Big Water, Utah

This is a Superb Equestrian Campground
with a variety of Horse Facilities and
Endless Riding.

There are 4 campsites with electric hook-ups and hoses to fill water tanks.
Our Site is called The Pavilion. Although there are adjoining stalls right next to the site,
they are a bit small. We opted to move our boys a bit farther away so they had room to play!

The photo above shows the closer covered stalls.

Below you can see the larger pens.
Good partial cover, lots of room!

You need to bring your own water and feed buckets,
along with mucking tools.
They ask that you muck to the outside of the pens,
then the ranch staff will clear it away each day.
There is a place to dump waste water, rather a large hole into the septic,
but you will need to actually move your LQ to get to it.
It was about 50 yards from our spot.

We did 5 rides.
Day 1 was into Long Valley Canyon.

Hoodoos

Day 2 we rode along the Paria Riverbed and into Copper Slot.

Day 3 we rode along Long Valley Road looking down into the Canyon

Day 4 we followed a wash to find Nautilus Rock.
Below you can see what the rock looks like as you approach it.
Look for an 8 foot dead tree on your right.

Below you can see the tree with our boys tied to it!

 In The Rock

Day 5 we rode to Moon Canyon.
